NAME: Brooke Brouwere
JOINED OPBA: August 2020
Brooke just had her 1 year anniversary of being with Operation: Badass... and I am in absolute awe of the growth she has achieved in this past 12 months.
In every single aspect.
Nutrition. Mindset. Confidence. Training. Consistency.
She excels in every area. Every month.
And because of this, she has continued to progress and succeed every month.
Even with a hectic schedule and crazy work shifts, she's never made an excuse. (I mean, I'll get notifications that she's finished her workout at 1am some nights lol 😵)
Instead of excuses, she simply pivots and adjusts, and reaches out when she needs to plan for something out of the ordinary. She never misses a check-in and she hits me with form videos to make sure she's getting the most out of her training. 🙌🏽
Her physical changes are incredible. 🔥 But what impresses me the most, is that I can tell, even virtually, how hard she is working in the gym.
A year ago she was working out at home, and not even 10 months later she was the first client I moved into full deadlifts! 👀 She has been continuously pushing to crush PRs on the major lifts like she's training for a powerlifting meet. 🏋🏽♀️ And I always notice that frequently there are exercises where she's pushed for an extra rep or two.
That last set of 12? She pushes for 13 or 14.
I'm not there to tell her to, she just does is because she's hungry to succeed. 🦁
Brooke is the epitome of "head down, do the work". And is SO deserving of this month's Badass of the Month title 👏🏽 Beyond proud of you Brooke!
1) Tell us a little bit about you!
I grew up in the Southern Tier. I'm married and have an 8 year old son. I have 2 pitbulls- Athena and Harlow. I've worked for Corning Inc for 11 years now, most of which has been swing shift😵 My favorite hobbies are working out, curling up to a good book or walking my dogs 🙂
2) What is the most rewarding part of the journey you're on with your health and fitness?
Feeling good about myself- physically, mentally, emotionally. Knowing that not only does my work show on the inside, it felts internally as well. I love taking care of my body and in return, it taking care of me. I feel like a whole new person and loving every second of it!!
